STS Leeuwin II

STS Leeuwin II Open Day at the Busselton Jetty

Tuesday, 11th January 2022 - 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Climb aboard the STS Leeuwin II, Australia’s largest sail-training tall ship, a beautiful three-masted 1850’s-style barquentine built, owned and operated in Western Australia.

The original Leeuwin (Dutch for “Lioness”) Galleon was a Dutch ship that discovered and mapped some of the southwest corner of Australia in March 1622, only the seventh European ship to sight the continent.

The tall ship is owned by Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation Limited, a registered Western Australian charity with the sailing training tall ship used to run programs aimed at youth development and operates as far north as Dampier and as far south as Albany from its home port in Fremantle.

Tours of this magnificent tall ship are via gold coin donation per person. The Leeuwin II will be docked at Busselton Jetty as part of the Festival of Busselton and its voyage training schedule from 9 -13 January 2022.
