Fermoy is thrilled to announce that they have been awarded a trophy for ‘Best in Show’ at the 2021 Decanter World Wine Awards for their 2019 Reserve Chardonnay. This is the fourth trophy awarded to the 2019 Reserve Chardonnay, having already won three trophies at this year’s Wine Show of WA. This exceptional drop was described by judges as “Spotlessly clean, pure and fine-spun on the palate, with ample citrus and samphire freshness and a pungent finish.”

Fermoy is a premium winery nestled in the beautiful region of Wilyabrup, in Margaret River, Western Australia. Fermoy is dedicated to crafting exceptional quality wines which showcase true varietal character and subtle nuances of the southwest region. Fermoy continues to focus on its core premium varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as Shiraz, Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon blends.
The winery is located right next door to the vineyard, so the grapes can be processed without delay, ensuring their premium qualities are retained. Their head winemaker, Jeremy Hodgson, employs a balance of tradition and innovation, employing age-old techniques supported by modern advances, all of which culminate to highlight the distinctive south-western climate.
Since its establishment in 1985, Fermoy has won numerous awards and accolades making its exciting range of top quality wines the benchmark for the region. Perhaps most famously, Fermoy's Estate Cabernet Sauvignon was chosen to be served at the official reception for the Royal Wedding of Princess Mary to Prince Frederik of Denmark. More recently, in 2015 Fermoy’s Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was named “The Best Cabernet in the World” at the prestigious Concours International Des Cabernets in Paris, France.

Walk-ins are welcome, and bookings are recommended for groups of 5 or more.
‘The Fermoy Lodge’ is an airy, light-filled sanctuary set on the estate. The home itself is stylishly appointed, with beds for up to 10 people, and all the comforts you’d expect from a luxury stay. An incredible expanse of vines makes up the ‘backyard’, which can be appreciated from one of the many large windows overlooking the estate. Still one of my fav wineries w beautiful wines. Thank you judy for the wonderful lighthearted n funny conversation n yes we lost. Ending up leaving with 6 beautiful bottles n 2 down our throat along the journey before we even hit the airport for tax rebates 😅
