Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. Of course it gets busier in Summer, but not so much so that it spoils the experience. If you come at the right time of year, you might even see some whales! Toilets, showers, park benches and a playground on site :) My family love to grab lunch at the Augusta Bakery and then come to eat here.

The tranquil lagoon below is crystal clear and has a small jetty with stairs that takes you directly into shallow water.
It is not only a fantastic place for kids to go swimming; you will often see people at Flinders Bay swimming laps and stand-up paddle boarding too.

BBQs, picnic tables and toilets are also found here making it a great spot for a picnic with family and friends.

Dog Friendly Area

Flinders Bay is dog friendly from the surfer’s lookout at Albany Terrace to the point where Albany Terrace turns west. Please adhere to signage and rules; pick up after your dog; and be mindful of people and wildlife on the beach.

Flinders Bay beach (with jetty & pontoon), just seconds round the corner from granny's pool. Kids loved this beach. Great snorkelling. Fun pontoon to swim out to. Deeper waters so forgot the older kids,but plenty of shallows for the littlies. Closeby carpark so no trekking for ages. Playground, shade trees, ablutions on-site. Kids didn't want to leave.

Flinders is the best beach to swim at in Augusta in summer. I actually found it better here than in Hamelin- probably because of the shady trees nearby and the toilets. There’s also a pontoon for people to swim to. Excellent on the rare hot day in Augusta
