Jewel Cave is the largest show cave in Western Australia, with three massive chambers of incredible beauty. This crystal-encrusted cave is the most recently opened of all the show caves in the Margaret River region.
Jewel Cave is an extremely well decorated cave, containing many beautiful examples of delicate helectites, cave coral, pendulites, a very large stalagmite called ‘The Karri Forest’, and beautiful examples of flowstone such as ‘The Frozen Waterfall’ and ‘the Organ-pipes’.

Fossilised remains of several Tasmanian Tigers or 'Thylacines' have been discovered within Jewel Cave's chambers, safely preserved more than 3000 years after the unusual marsupial became extinct on mainland Australia. There is a skeleton of a thylacine on display in the Jewel Cave centre.

A short walk trail meanders through the forest above the cave, passing the interesting 'original entrance' to the cave. Lunch or light refreshments are available at the Jewel Cave Cafe, complimented by views of the surrounding karri forest.

It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone, the history and information is very impressive and really makes you think about how much we are just touching the surface of this earth and there is so much that we don't see, sometimes directly underneath us. Very cool.

This is one of the best experiences i got visiting Western Australia. Also, this is one of the deepest caves in Australia as well. The staff is so friendly and also has a lot of knowledge about the caves. I was lucky enough to visit the caves as i was supposed to visit another caves which is further away. But i did not regret the visit on these caves. It was stunning.

Don’t you ever skip this cave if you are in Perth! Most beautiful I’ve ever seen! I’ve learnt a lot from this tour, staff are able to brief us clearly. It’s very chill inside the cave and please expect some hike on the stairs. Proper shoes will be helpful. You won’t be regret, please have a visit if you can! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is an experience not to be missed. First time in a cave and I would highly recommend a guided tour (such as this) for the first time. Teaching all about stalactites, stalagmites and all the other incredible formations. Showing us the different sections of the cave and how many thousands of years it took. Incredible.
