There is a sort of rightness in having a Margaret River vineyard named ROSILY "Who was Rosily?" The Comte Francois de Rosily was born in Brest, France in 1742.He was the one who intended south-western Australia to be settled by the French. Rosily Vineyard is dedicated to making wines of excellence, that truly reflect the unique Margaret River environment from which they are derived.
Rosily Vineyard is found in the heart of the Wilyabrup sub region, which is close to the coast and of a central to slightly northern latitude within the Margaret River wine region. All of Rosily's wines are produced using fruit grown on the 12ha vineyard, which is planted on specifically chosen parcels of land within the 32ha Willyabrup property.

From the strong and structured Cabernet grown in the challenging top-of-hill gravels, to the full and fruity Semillon grown in the rich alluvial soils close to a gentle brook; their grapes are grown on unique parcels of soil, in a unique part of the world – and this is reflected in the quality of their wines.

The first vines were propagated at Rosily in 1994, using cuttings from the nearby Moss Wood vineyard. The rootlings were then planted out into the vineyard in 1995 and 1996(Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc), and 1997 (Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Franc). Later on in 2001 a small block of Petit Verdot was added, and then some extra Semillon in 2009.

Enjoy a unique Cellar Door experience like no other, with a structured but relaxed tasting with their knowledgeable and friendly team. All of their wines are made on the property, from grapes that are grown on the property. The closest vines are found just meters from the winery, offering a real sense of place to all their visitors. If you are lucky enough to be in the Margaret River region on a weekend or in the summer holidays, you are welcome to come out to the property to see the vines and taste the wines. Their “cellar door” should probably be renamed the “winery door” – it is not a flashy shop selling everything from Aprons to Zork openers, but is literally an open door to our working winery.

At Rosily, they very much focus on growing the best grapes possible, and transforming them into the best bottles of wine possible.

Lovely unpretentious experience. Sam the Vinyard Manager hosted our tasting and he was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The wines were all delicious and I was able to post them back home to Melb. Loved this down to earth experience in Margaret Valley.

Always love it! Come here for unpretentious wine tasting with a smaller, dedicated team. Grapes are all grown organically on their own vineyards (no outside sourcing of grapes). A lot of care goes into these beautiful wines and almost all are under $30.

Came as part of a tour with Bushtucker Tours. And so glad we did. One of the better wine tasting experiences in a very rustic setting. We were walked through the regions of France as we tasted the range of white and red wines and how they are influenced by the Bordeaux and Burgundy wines of France. A very enjoyable and informative tasting. Highly recommended.

We loved the wines, the organic zingy fresh whites and the pure finishing divine reds. The super friendly staff and the roses and fig trees around the vines also made for a great visit at this vineyard. The Cartographer is just amazing.
