Elementals, from Nurture to Nature Opening Night

On Friday 11 March 2022, from 5pm – 6.30pm, Margaret River HEART is hosting a free opening event in celebration Karin Luciano and Caroline Bannister’s combined exhibition: Elementals, from Nature to Nurture.
Many artists look to nature as inspiration for works but as humans Luciano and Bannister look to nature to help nurture their human spirit both individually and collectively. The duo create works which are an expression of their personal connections to nature. Using a variety of art media they are incorporating classical iconography, mythology and abstraction to represent the natural forces of nature.
Luciano works predominantly in paint and gild, Bannister works in ceramics and mixed media textiles.
This is an opportunity to meet the artists to discuss their influences and process for the works.
5pm: Open, meet & greet
5.45pm: Opening address by Chamber of Commerce CEO Melissa Rose (outside in Soundshell)
7pm: Ocean Film Festival 2022 World Tour
The opening night will be followed by the 2022 Ocean Film Festival in the Main Theatre. Patrons are invited to attend the festival once the exhibition opening celebrations have finished.
