JO DARVALL – REGENERATION Boranup Forest Series

Jo Darvall’s most recent series was conceived while walking through the Boranup Forest, enchanted by its beauty and the play of light that feeds through the endemic Karri trees. For weeks Darvall returned to a particular pocket of the bush, recording the theatrical majesty of the forest in a collection of drawings, paintings and sketches. Four months later, the same grove would be transformed by raging bushfire, revealing the forest’s fleeting beauty.
