Mornings are getting brighter, days longer and warm, and the sun is finally starting to shine and if that isn’t enough to cause serious celebration, we also have one of the region’s most anticipated artistic events upon us, Open Studios!

Step into a realm where art comes to life – from the whimsical woodland ceramic creatures of Jolene Hewison to Emily Jackson’s vibrant depictions of WA biodiversity, to the colourful patterns and tantalising textiles of Scarlett Tull. Let the lens of Martine Perret’s camera transport you to stunning vistas and aerial expanses that capture the essence of the beauty that surrounds us. Be inspired as you admire pure artistry at work. This is the world of Open Studios, an enchanting exploration of local creative brilliance, just waiting to be discovered.

For those seeking solace in the region’s natural splendour, the call of the Karri forests and coastal tracks beckon, over 2,500 wildflower species burst into full bloom, and nearly 40,000 whales head past our coastline on their annual migration journey.

From artistic immersion to nature’s grandeur, a world of excitement awaits this September. With school holidays starting on the 23rd and the King’s Birthday public holiday on the 25th, there is plenty to look forward to. Plus, don’t forget to celebrate dad on the 3rd!
