Young @ HEART – Victoria Palermo
Description
Victoria Palermo, the Argentinian singer songwriter who finds music as a way of self-discovery.
Victoria has been playing live shows all over Australia for the past three years, sharing her melancholic pop, soul and folky songs, as she reflects her essence in her music. Her lyrics (both in Spanish and English) and melodies, somehow sweet and sexy, portray a lot of heartbreak, illusion and hope while experiencing love, or unreciprocated love most times, allowing anybody to identify with her songs.
She has released an album of her own (El reloj), plus 5 singles, one on its way, and several collabs with artists from all over the world, such as Israel, Italy, the Canary Islands, and Perú.
It’s only a matter of time until she releases a tune with one of our own Aussie mates!
Her latest release is a video for her single ‘Altar’, filmed by Ramiro Larguía, fellow Argentinian, at the beautiful Margaret River Heartland.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia every Monday morning from 10am – 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
