That’s how CiCi describes herself as a DJ. A dance floor enthusiast herself, CiCi’s track selections reflect her experiences of songs that “just make [her] want to move”.

Having grown up in NZ with a strong Polynesian Hip Hop, RnB and Reggae influence and later being deeply affected by the Soca, Dancehall and Afrobeat tunes she heard while spending time in South Africa, CiCi’s sets have something of tropical islands, sensual dance encounters and the excitement of travel about them.

I dig music that makes me feel good, that causes me to move almost involuntarily. It’s such a sweet feeling when the beat takes over. That’s where I like to take us – out of our heads and into our bodies.
