Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Pantomime Production
Description
It’s time again for another exciting adventure in theatre, comedy, dance, and song as the Margaret River Theatre Group brings their annual pantomime production to the Margaret River HEART.
Written by professional pantomime performer Tom Whalley, Goldilocks and the Three Bears is a side-splitting comedy that marries the age-old story with delightfully modern twists, packed with in-jokes, high-energy circus performances, colourful costumes, and singalong moments.
Dame Gertie Dollop (Ian Smith) runs a haphazard circus with her son Silly Billy (Sarah Mills), but they have fallen on hard times. The dastardly Ringmaster Heinkel (Mark Storey), owner of the rival circus, is up to his old tricks.
Dame Gertie needs a miracle after three porridge-hungry, talking bears accidentally steal her honeypot of pennies.
Could they be the new star attraction Gertie has been searching for?
Directed by born and bred local Rebecca Simmonds and featuring a cast and crew of dedicated homegrown volunteers, the MRTG Pantomime is a beloved annual event on the Margaret River theatre calendar.
Suitable for the whole family and guaranteed to entertain theatre lovers and newcomers alike, tickets to this popular production sell out quickly each year, so be sure to book in advance!
