Immerse yourself in the intriguing oceanic world of celebrated local artist, Ian Daniell, with the launch of his latest series of works at the Voyager Estate cellar door.
Precious, playful and gleaming, these distinctive new pieces form part of Ian’s iconic collection, Life-size Ocean Art – a fascinating exploration of our colourful Western Australian marine fauna.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet Ian and hear how he brings his incredible art to life, as they journey through a curated exhibition featuring iconic works alongside brand-new creations. Tickets include a glass of Voyager Estate wine on arrival and a selection of delicious canapés by Chef Santi. Doors open 6pm until 8pm.
Artwork will be on display daily at the cellar door 10am to 5pm, from Friday December 17 to Sunday January 30.
About Ian:
Ian is a UK-born artist who has been living and working in Margaret River for the last three years. Graduating with an honours degree from Camberwell College of the Arts, Ian opened his first painting and sculpture studio in 2010. Work from Ian’s first solo exhibition, Promises, was nominated for the Threadneedle Figurative Art Prize and was selected for the Royal Academy of the Arts Summer Exhibition in 2013. Ian is also recognised for his leading role in projects spanning architecture, fashion, museums and furniture design in London, before moving to Western Australia to live a life more closely connected with the ocean
