NAIDOC Week Celebration (Busselton)
Monday, 3rd July 2023 -
Tuesday, 4th July 2023
Description
NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.
In 2023 the celebrations will use the theme “For our Elders”, recognising across every generation, our Elders have played, and continue to play, an important role and hold a prominent place in our communities and families. They are cultural knowledge holders, trailblazers, nurturers, advocates, teachers, survivors, leaders, hard workers and our loved ones.
In the City of Busselton two special events are planned.
- NAIDOC Week Flag Raising Ceremony and Morning Tea | Monday 03 July | 10am| Undalup Room, City of Busselton Administration Building – ALL WELCOME
- NAIDOC Week Activity Day | Tuesday 4 July 2023 | 10am – 2pm | Youth and Communities Activity Building, Foreshore Parade, Busselton – includes a sausage sizzle!
