Sacred World Music Choir at Margaret River HEART
Description
The Sacred World Music Choir are a group of women who join together weekly to share the love and joy of singing.
The songs they sing are with reverence to the Earth, and the elements, to the Sacredness of Life, and the joy of uncovering one’s True self.
Laura Briones, the choir conductor, comes from a lineage of choir conductors in her home country of Argentina, and this choir is a fulfilment of a dream.
The World Music Women’s Choir was established in 2020.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia every Monday morning from 10am – 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
Venue: Foyer
This is a free event.
