Vivaldi Concertos and Summer from the Seasons

Australian Baroque presents Vivaldi Concertos and Summer from the Seasons, with paired paintings and animations by Margaret River Independent School students.

With thanks to the DLGSC and Lotterywest Creative Communities COVID-19 Recovery Program, Margaret River HEART and Margaret River Independent School welcomed the Australian Baroque and artist Rachel Wyder as artists in residence.

Through this project students explored the relationship between art and music and have created art in response to workshops and performances by Australian Baroque. This is a FREE event. Registrations essential.

AUSTRALIAN BAROQUE
Australian Baroque is a national ensemble and early music initiative, formed at it’s core by WA-based artists. We are world-class players with a spirit of investigation and historical inspiration, bringing you stunning programs and exciting, immersive, projects.

The ensemble formed in December 2018, were resident Ensemble in Residence at the WA Academy of Performing Arts, ECU, have been recorded by ABC Classics and have a new Recital Hall home at 505 Newcastle St, with thanks to their partnership with AHG.

Being part of the WA community is central to the aims of Australian Baroque. This is not just an orchestra for the concert hall. Our aim is to build significant and long lasting ties with both regional and metropolitan communities, performing in galleries, schools, museums, Men’s Sheds, churches, cafes and town halls. Education is a core branch of our practice and we have two young artists in our program as well as the residency at WAAPA.
