Young @ HEART – Si&B
Description
Sian and Bruno present a musical fusion of original and cover songs.
Singing in English and French, from jazz-pop, bossa-nova and reggae music, this dynamic and sensual duo brings you on a journey that makes your heart vibrate.
Si&B are both multi-instrumental artists, playing ukulele, flute, guitars, u-bass and percussion; the musicality is diverse and the grooves are hypnotic.
Sian is a born and raised Down South local who brings a sophisticated and nuanced edge to her originals and performances. WAAPA trained flautist, vocalist come ukulele player, she’s back from a decade in the USA playing in a soul/funk band.
Bruno is a Parisian troubadour now based in Margaret River WA.
His music speaks for cultural diversity, social justice and is inspired by years of travelling from continent to continent. His lyrics spread messages for a better humanity in harmony with nature and a sustainable way of living.
About Young@HEART
The Young@HEART music program is held at Margaret River HEART – Nala Bardip Mia every Monday morning from 10am to 11am. The program does not run on public holidays or when there is another major event in the foyer.
The initiative was developed to safely encourage participation in the arts among older residents (over 60s) during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to high interest, the free performances have since been opened to people of all ages. Nonetheless, the senior demographic still makes up the majority of the audience.
Young@Heart is broadcast live on Radio Margaret River.
