When i was researching my 3D2D Margaret River wineries tour I contacted a number of drivers/guides. It was immediately clear that Rob was a cut above the rest, in terms of his knowledge of wines & wineries (20+ years of experience himself in the wine industry), access to small batch artisanal winemakers, and knowing the best restaurants, accommodations in the area.
TL;DR is if you are serious about your wines and making the most of your limited time Margaret River then you want Rob to be your guide & designated driver.
Before our trip, I liased with Rob over e-mail, planning our itinerary of wineries & restaurants together. Once settled, Rob took care of all the reservations and sent me a PDF of the itinerary broken down daily.
Rob picked us up each day from our hotel in a luxury sedan, and at each winery, he would accompany us in to hand us off to the hosts. It was warming to see how respected Rob was by the locals at our hotel & destinations. Rob also made sure to keep us on schedule… harder than it looks! And he’s relatable - he’s Aussie, he’s British, he lived in HK for decades!
We had an amazing time and anytime we get asked about Margaret River now Rob gets an immediate mention.

Great communication with Rob prior to the trip. He customised a tour for my family and managed to include all our little preferences, which I thought was amazing and it said a lot about his experience and personal knowledge of Margaret River.

Rob was unreal! So much knowledge of the Margaret River region and a very well-travelled bloke.
The experience was super authentic and he even got us a private tour with one of the wineries (Mr Barval, also highly recommend).
He genuinely cares and did everything in his power to ensure we had an amazing day - he even booked our lunch for us!
Wouldn’t hesitate booking Rob again and couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

A fabulous full day tour of Margaret River. Rob was fantastic - very personable, and demonstrated his sound knowledge of the area, including the local community and attractions. He was very accommodating, and transported our wine back to our accommodation while we attended an event. A sophisticated and flawless day!
