Smiths Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
Smiths Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
Smith Life Saving Club calls home one of the most beautiful beaches in the South West; in 2011 'Smiths Beach' became affiliated to the movement, in so doing becoming WA's 29th club.
Surf Lifesaving encourages your child lead a happy, healthy and active life. 'Nippers' is a junior program that introduces children (from 5 to 13 years of age) to Surf Lifesaving. It is a fun outdoor activity that grows a child’s confidence and knowledge whilst teaching invaluable life skills. Nippers are educated in surf sports, surf rescue, basic resuscitation and first aid.
Youth (from 14 to 18), have the opportunity to build on these skills and work towards obtaining their Surf Rescue Certificate, which permits them to join a patrol. The Bronze Medallion, which adds communication and greater first aid skills also opens up many new pathways to our members.
They encourage adults to get involved through sport, patrolling or social activities and are building a program to encourage fitness and maintaining skills. There are also a large number of support roles that ensure their nipper program is delivered at the highest standard and we hope that , either as a parent or, as a willing volunteer, you can lend support to this program.
The Club meets on Sunday mornings, from early November to late March from 9am to 11am.
