Ithaca Manor is an 1896 heritage-listed building. The historic property has been extensively renovated to adapt to today’s lifestyle and comforts, but hasn’t lost the history or the old-world charm that makes it such a must-stay for those looking to escape and unwind.
Stay in a piece of Busselton's history, a place with a rich and interesting past, originally being the residence of Frank Backhouse, a prominent gold-rush mining engineer and former mayor of Busselton.
Centrally located and just a 10 minute walk to the iconic Busselton Jetty. The Busselton Jetty Precinct is brimming with activity; Seaside cafes, kiosks, bars and restaurants give way to bike paths, large shady grassed areas and a calm tranquil white sandy beach. The bustling main street of Busselton is about the same distance offering restaurants, cafes, pubs, supermarkets and much more. The superb beaches and wineries of the Margaret River region are all within an hour’s drive from the front gate.
The 1896 manor house is an eclectic mix of original period features, Axminster carpet and re-purposed furniture and fittings. It offers various room types suitable for couples, families, friends, groups, singles and backpackers. Ensuite rooms are available at an affordable price and most have newly renovated bathrooms. Rooms without ensuite have separate male and female bathroom facilities used by a small number of guests. All rooms have a bar fridge, kettle, toaster, and microwave and include amenities such as tea & coffee. A wrap around veranda and a common room are available for guests to use and enjoy.
