The Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) was established in Fremantle in 1885. Since then the FRS has expanded to employ around 830 career firefighters and have more than 2500 volunteer firefighters operating from more than 100 locations.
Volunteer FRS firefighters are on duty 24-hours a day, 365 days a year in locations where a permanent brigade has not been established. Busselton is one of these brigades.
