Margaret River Stand Up Surfing operates daily (weather permitting) from Gnarabup Beach, Margaret River. If you head towards the beach from Margaret River along Wallcliffe Drive, turn right into the car park at Gnarabup Beach in front of the White Elephant Cafe. If you find yourself at the Margaret River Beach Resort you have gone too far.
Margaret River Stand Up Surfing offers a new and enjoyable experience for visitors to the region's beautiful beaches. Join them in the morning for a 60 or 90 minute session, or go for a small tour with breakfast included. Instruction is given and is available to everyone from 8 years of age.
This experience gives you the ability to interact with the ocean and the wildlife paddling off one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. Stand Up Surfing is one of the world's fastest-growing water sports as it is easy to pick and lets you access the ocean from a large floating board.
Instruction is given on how to paddle and your guide will stay with you all the way if you need help. Stand Up Surfing Instructors are all ASI qualified (world standard) and are trained lifeguards. The business is run by the extended family and there are three generations involved so there are plenty of stories.
After your exertions on the SUP board, you can follow up with a meal and some beverages at the White Elephant Cafe which is known for the quality of its food and scenery.

Hi, planning to SUP here. What if the SUP-er does not have good swimming ability? Do you provide float jacket?

I would highly recommend this to everyone even for beginners. I don’t know swimming but they gave me a life jacket and i had a second session at 9am it was great. Whole staff is friendly its a family business. Weather was great and enjoyed it.

Our friends recommended we do this and Cindy and Craig accommodated us on short notice which was extremely kind. We had amazing water conditions and had the lovely Cindy leading us. It was made even better by the chance to snorkel/dive and see a few sea creatures. 10/10 recommend.
