Connection to community is the human attraction of Gnarabup Beach. The jetty for fishing and boat launching. The pontoon and calm waters in summer. Dog walking along the cliff trail through the winter.
The daily meeting of ocean swimmers at resident White Elephant Beach Café all year ‘round. Not so much see and be seen, as come to bare witness to the lives of each other. Everyone is welcome.
Environmentally, this same sense of inclusivity is realised by ocean waters so blue and (mostly) calm that it sometimes feels a dip, here, is an experience of the world’s largest swimming pool. An outer reef breaks the force of the swell.
The inlet cradled between Marmaduke Point and the jetty is an ocean lover’s nursery. This is the site of children’s summer ocean swim classes, after-school jetty jumps, and mid-morning coffees with vivid ocean views.
Dog Friendly Area
The dog exercise area at Gnarabup Beach is accessible via the steps at the Reef Drive carpark. Please adhere to signage and rules; pick up after your dog; and be mindful of people and wildlife on the beach.

It's a great beach, long and sandy, not very busy on a midweek visit, plenty of parking and lots of friends enjoying the walks and the scenery

Ok beach near MR town. It’s got a lot of seaweed on the shore but ok for a little play in the water or fishing off the jetty. There is a restaurant right on the beach too but we arrived at sunset and it was closed so not sure how good it is. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here but I would go if you want to take the kids to a close calm beach for a short time. I’m guessing it’s more of a local place not a tourist stop.

This is a great spot to come for a swim or have a coffee or something to eat I found it nice and relaxing and the views are really nice there was a fair bit of seaweed on the beach but apart from that everything else looks really good you could even hire some boards to go out to me it looks really good from mwh

Beautiful beach for walking there’s a nice footpath behind the dunes that can take you all the way to Surfers Point and the River Mouth. At times there can be clumps of seaweed washed up and it can be a bit rocky. Your best bet is going for a dip in front of the White Elephant Cafe. Great for paddle boarding.
