Augusta's Ellis Street Jetty is the 'Old Town Jetty'. It is a popular point for launching kayaks and canoes, and also a great spot to sit and enjoy a bit of fishing or a picnic under the Peppermint trees.
The jetty is also the starting point for the river boardwalk that takes visitors around to the river mouth. Residents from across the river, in East Augusta, use the jetty to access the town of Augusta.
Drinking water is accessible, and there are 24-hour public toilets.

Just in case you need a reminder of how beautiful the region is, or if you're thinking about skipping Augusta because it's just at the tail-end and you'd rather head Pemberton ways, then you should check out the photos I took on what was a pretty average day.

Absolutely great spot to launch and go chase some fish, well worth the trip up river to molloy island and back again just pay attention to the channel markers. Its very shallow in spots.

Very quiet at night, clean n clear water with sea animals can be seen by eyes. Feeling peaceful. Love this jetty and will definitely go back.

A lovely jetty just down from the main street, where you can catch a boat and take a 2 hour river trip to see the huge variety of birds that inhabit the islands and land around the Blackwood River. There are free public toilets and free parking.
