The Matthews family purchased the established vineyard in late 2005 and the following year embarked on the huge, labour-intensive task of transforming the vineyard by reworking all of the vines to reduce fruit yields and increase the intensity in flavour and quality for which After Hours Wine is renowned. Organic practices are followed in the vineyard to encourage soil microorganisms and beneficial insects in the vines. All wines are grown, made and bottled at the property by Winemaker Phil Potter.
