Small boutique Vineyard located in the beautiful Smiths Beach Valley.
Winner of London International Wine Fair Trophy for Best Red 2011.
To the south of Cape Naturaliste, in a picturesque valley behind Smiths Beach, lies Cape Naturaliste Vineyard. Overlooking the valley is a 19th Century stone inn. Once the staging point for the coaches on the Perth to Margaret River route, the now renovated inn provides a delightful backdrop to the vineyard. The property became a dairy farm in the late 1800's and the old stone milking shed is now the cellar door.
At Cape Naturaliste Vineyard, they're driven by their dedication to offer boutique wines of the highest quality. Their approach is based on biodynamics, and they endeavour to use organic techniques and products wherever possible. They use sea-based fertilisers that are tailor made to suit their vines. The emulsion is undiluted and contains all the essential elements and nutrients that their vines require. They also apply NASAA accredited, certified organic compost to improve soil health and ultimately to assist them to produce premium quality of fruit.

Amazing wines and fabulous hosts. Dogs are most welcome here. What I love about Cape Naturaliste is that they’re not pretentious - they know their wines and are proud of what they do. My favourite vineyard in the region hands down.

A long established small producer, making very good wine at reasonable prices, especially if you join (no cost or obligation). Something in the range for just about everyone.
Lovely friendly, helpful owners and staff, and small dog lovers.
Love this winery. I scored all of the wines over 90 points, with the Cabernet getting 93/100 from me, for $35 ($28 members) about the best value I found in WA.
The closest vines to the sea in Margaret River too,

Did a wine tasting here, staff were super friendly and the wines were great, bought a couple of bottles. Obviously dog friendly, bring your dog and they'll take a photo to add to their collection of dogs who have visited over the years!🥂🐶
