Sensational wines and a tasting led by a fun and engaging young lady who's name I unfortunately didn't catch. We are told by a friend about this place and it didn't disappoint.

The McHenry Hohnen home vineyard on Rocky Road is a farm brimming with life and symbiotic relationships – the microorganisms fostered in naturally brewed tonic bring vibrancy to the soil, olives ripen in the groves, bees deliver honey while pollinating the vines, chickens feast on Spring weevils and deliver fat fresh eggs – in a natural ecosystem where people are part of that system and the harmony it creates.

Commercial success and many accolades have followed including, most recently being shortlisted in the Top 10 Best Wineries in Australia by the Halliday Wine Companion, Australia’s premier wine journal.

In 2021 the winery opened a ‘pop up’ tasting room in Witchcliffe. The historic and colourful town has always been part of the McHenry Hohnen story. Now visitors and locals alike can slow down and taste some of the wines that make this area just south of Margaret River so unique and special.

Yum! Beautiful chardonnay and the best Zinfandel in the area. Honest and down to earth service, perfectly informative.

Lovely experience visiting with friends and great wines especially the Chardonnay and top of the range Cab Sav. The lady who served us (Claire) was super friendly, patient and informative. Loved the homely feel of the place. Thank you!

This was a fantastic tasting experience! The staff was knowledgable and very friendly, and tailored the experience to suit our preferences. The cellar door on Rocky Road was beautiful and featured exquisite wines and views across the vineyard. One of the best cellar door experiences we've had! Much recommended!
