In all honesty, the experience fell short of expectations. Not only was there a shortage of pre-massage facilities, they also did not have facilities such as hairdryers for people to freshen up properly before leaving the spa. Not everyone enjoys leaving a spa with oil in the hair. I thought proper shower and freshening up facility was lacking.
Throughout our time there, they often said to us to take our time. However when I was freshening up in the toilet, after just a few short minutes, someone came knocking on the door. I felt like I didn’t even have the space and time to properly freshen up before leaving.
And finally on hindsight, what I felt really disappointed by, was their request to change our appointment within the 24hrs to our confirmed appointment time, without compensating us in any way. Whereas if the reverse were to happen where the customer had to cancel or change appointment timing within 24hrs, there would be a charge. While our plans for the day were flexible, we DID have to make adjustments and change our itinerary to accommodate their request as it was now 3hrs earlier than we had planned.
Had we been blown away by the quality of massage, I might have given them a 4 stars instead of 3. However, we thought the quality was average. My husband requested for firm massage, but the pressure he received was light. I had the pregnancy massage and they did set up the bed to cater for me, however the pillows & alignment were not that comfortable. It’s a beautiful spa and looks great, with fantastic views over the pond to relax after the massage, but I wished the other aspects of being a great spa could’ve been better.
Lastly, I’m now looking at the pictures on this listing and found that they are severely misrepresented. I had the impression it was by the beach and ocean from the pictures, but perhaps they are old photos. The current location is no where near the beach, altho there is a nice view of a pond.
