The pristine Dunsborough Foreshore is an idyllic place for a beach day, with extremely calm waters protected by sand banks close to the shore. Stand up paddle boarding is perfect for these sheltered waters, and equipment is available to purchase or hire during the warmer months. The old boat ramp is a hive of fun in summer, as families flock to enjoy the large swimming enclosure and pontoon (seasonal).
It's also the perfect place to join the locals for a curry, taco or burger on the beach at sunset thanks to the popular food trucks that frequent it!
There is one concrete ramp with enough room for two boats to be either launched or received. There's no charge for parking, but it does get busy on days of good weather – especially during holiday periods.
The Old Dunsborough ramp is in close proximity to the town of Dunsborough which will have any supplies which you should need.

The Old Dunsborough ramp has been upgraded in the last few years. With this said, it is nowhere near the best ramp in close proximity to Dunsborough for larger boats (this award goes to Quindalup). However, when the conditions allow this is a great alternative for smaller vessels. Care needs to be taken when launching/retrieving of the submerged rocks which are located either side of the ramp - these can be an issue as there is no finger jetty when boaties are waiting to head out or retrieve.
