Nick’s great-grandparents, Forrester & Prim Merritt stepped off a paddle steamer on the River Murray in 1894 as pioneer blockies to establish Kingston-on-Murray as an idealistic temperance village. It still has no pub, though it does grow plenty of good fruit.
We have used their name as our guide, to make wines that are particularly good and worthy of attention.
