Margaret River Hideaway & Farm-stay is a 23.3 hectare (57.57 acre) property, located 5kms north-east of Margaret River township, in a delightful rural setting. The cottages and studios are self-contained and have private enclosures for well-behaved dogs. A highlight of your stay will be the farm animal feeding offered every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday morning, an activity which is much loved by children and adults alike. Margaret River Hideaway is a unique property which will suit honeymooners, couples, families and small groups.
The 2 Studios (which are under 1 roof) and 7 Cottages are spaced out to ensure privacy. All have fenced enclosures to accommodate dogs (rules apply). Each is fully self-contained with air-conditioning, flat-screen TV and a DVD player, full kitchens and all the items that you would expect in a home, thereby enabling you to self-cater. The Cottages also have 'potbelly' wood stoves.

A 'starter breakfast' is provided which consists of a small packet (per person) of Cornflakes or Just Right, milk, orange juice and bread; as well as sachets of coffee, tea, jam, Vegemite, salt, pepper and a few farm-fresh eggs (if the 'chooks' are laying). This should cover your needs on the first morning, beyond which you’re expected to attend to your own food requirements.

Coin-operated laundry facilities are available. limited free Wi-Fi is connected to all cottages (for up to 2 devices) which should be adequate for e-mails, web browsing and moderate streaming.

Activities on the Property
Guests normally stroll, enjoying the ambience, or relax in and outside their accommodation. BBQs are set up on verandahs, so it’s easy enough to enjoy the Aussie outdoor lifestyle.

Every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 8.30 am guests can participate in a 1-hour animal feeding tour of the farm (subject to weather conditions). Animals on the farm include emus, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks, geese, sheep and alpaca; and several long-haired Scottish Highland cattle. The children will be encouraged to interact with the farm's animals.

The Hideaway is within easy driving distance of all major features of the region and it's an easy 5-minute drive to Margaret River town, where you will find numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops.

Stayed in 4a near the road but didn't hear any traffic on Osmington Rd. Beautiful peaceful spot only 10 minutes from town. Llamas in the backyard were very cute roaming around. Didn't make it to the animal feeding at 8:30am sadly. Peacock made some noise in the early morning, he was hilarious. Great room for 3 people (a couple and an adult) with enough facilities. Breakfast supplied was a nice addition. Dog friendly, but only a small backyard for him to run around in. He was able to explore the farm but on lead.

Fantastic farm stay! The location is perfect, and the friendly atmosphere made our experience delightful. Dani organized everything smoothly before our arrival, and the highlight for our kids was the amazing animal feeding experience!

Absolute perfection! My family have visited and stayed multiple times, we love it here! Kim and Tony are great hosts and the animal feedings are definitely a highlight. My (now) 2 year old has a great time exploring the grounds and interacting with all the animals that are wandering around freely. With the numerous adventure playgrounds around, you don't have to go far to keep your children entertained. The Accommodation is very clean, spacious and relaxing with a lovely alfresco overlooking animals and beautiful surroundings. Margaret River town is an 8 minute drive away - you wouldn't know it when here though! A brewery just down the road and multiple wineries in one of the best wine regions. We look forward to returning next year to stay otherwise plan to visit in the meantime. Definitely gives a welcome and family feeling to all guests. Thanks Kim and Tony!! (keen to know if our sheep have a new addition or 5) :)
