Lake Cave is a stunning crystal wonderland, situated deep beneath the earth. The entrance of the cave lies at the base of a spectacular sinkhole. Inside the cave, dazzling crystal formations dominate the cave roof, while the unique 'Suspended Table' is perfectly reflected in the tranquil water below.
This cave is the most 'actively dripping' and deepest of the show caves in the southwest. It is, without doubt, one of the most beautiful limestone caves in Western Australia. Entry to the cave is through an enormous sinkhole where you can gaze up at the towering karri trees from the floor of the sunken forest before entering the cave. 

The water level in Lake Cave has reached its highest point in decades, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for visitors to experience the cave in this majestic state. The unique 'Suspended Table' decoration and the captivating reflections from the lake make this cave a must-see attraction.

Don’t forget to brush up on your cave knowledge at the interpretive centre, with information about the Leeuwin-Naturaliste caves, as well as fascinating insights into caves all over the world.

Children 4 yrs – 16 yrs. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All tours must have a minimum of two adults to run. Visitors participate in the cave tour activity at their own risk. Refunds are not offered for no-shows or cancellations.

During a guided tour you'll see delicate crystal decorations reflected in the water of the lake - many of the crystals are 'dripping' which shows that they continue to grow. While seated at the back of the chamber, you can enjoy the unique 'underground ambience' of the cave with the sound of these droplets falling to the lake. The guide will change the feature lighting within the cavern to provide unique views of the cave features and formations.

Excellent experience! Highly recommend this tour. There are 325 steps, so be prepared to use leg muscles you didn’t know you had. I wore a light jumper as I found the cave quite cool, but my partner was comfortable in shorts and a shirt. The inside of the cave is stunning and well worth the visit. The centre at the top has a gift shop and information. You can only do this cave via tour at $24 per adult, Mammoth Cave is self guided. Our tour guide (Josh) was very funny and informative.

The most gorgeous cave I've ever seen! The water makes everything seem bigger than it is because of the reflection, but it's honestly a very cool place to visit. The guides do an excellent job explaining the origins as well as the science behind everything.

We went here during our day trip to Margaret River and it was breathtakingly spectacular. I cannot say enough how pristine and stunningly beautiful this cave system is. The only downside is the number of stairs to get down and back up - there are a lot! If your fitness won't allow you to do stairs then this isn't the attraction for you. EDIT: The owner response is spot on - there are several places you can rest and take your time on the stairs and to admire the gorgeous scenery. But, if you have mobility issues with stairs, I would seriously consider whether this is an option for you. p.s. the pic of my husband on the stairs was the "easy" set of stairs at the other cave but included for perspective

Family Fun for most ages and affordable! Great educational opportunity and all around a must do in Margaret River. There are over 300 stairs, so not recommended for those with physical restrictions or afraid of heights.
