On Track specialises in providing a mountain biking experience just like the locals enjoy, combining the trail riding experience with the local food and beverage attractions. On Track's local expert guides are fully qualified and experienced coaches who know where to go to give you the best experience. You can even get some new skills to take home from your holiday and use on your local trails back home. On Track has half and full day experiences at the Margaret River, Dunsborough, Nannup, Collie, Pemberton and Linga Longa Bike Park trail networks, and has shuttled and non-shuttled options.
On Track MTB provides small group tailored and private mountain bike tours for the trail enthusiast, which include pickups from accommodation, trail uplifts, skills coaching for local conditions, and transport back to your accommodation with local experience ‘Stopovers’ on the way. It's not just about the riding, a whole day experience tour makes the most of the local food and beverage offerings, attractions and beauty which can be found just off the beaten track.

On Track experiences are for those who love the thrill of descending down epic trails they’ve never ridden before, or exploring that unknown terrain and landscape. Those who seek to experience the flow and joy that a new skill can bring. Who’s idea of a perfect day is relaxing with a local beverage after the ride, sharing a laugh over those sketchy moments or exaggerating how big those jumps were that you managed to send!

Their local knowledge can help you get the most from your MTB holiday, so they have flexible itineraries to cater for skill and fitness levels, weather and travel plans. Plus if you want to extend your riding time with a multiple day tour, you’ll get to experience the other amazing trails that the South West of WA has to offer.

This is what they do on their days off... let them show you around their playground!

Are you thinking about buying an eBike and want to find out more before committing to the purchase? Or maybe you've just bought one and you're wanting to learn how to get the most out of your new toy! Then this session is for you.

This lesson debunks a lot of the misconceptions that are out there about eBikes and digs into how good these bikes are from a skills perspective. These lessons are small group sessions, with 8 riders being the maximum group size.

You'll learn how eBikes open up a whole new bunch of fun trail options for you. What were once trails that you only rode if you wanted to slog it out and get fit, are now turned into flow trails! If you are into training, we'll explain how eBikes are actually perfect tools for that... for both skills and fitness training.

The obvious difference the eBike makes is in the climbing... so we'll look at the little things you can do to create more fun and flow from climbing! But don't ever think that the only advantage is in the climbing though... no way! Descending on an eBike is so much fun! The extra stability and grip they provide is next level so we'll look at how to take advantage of that too.

Your coach is an experienced qualified coach who has raced eBikes in the WA Gravity Enduro series for the last few years. In 2023 he competed solely on the eBike and took out the overall state championship for the 40+ Male category. He's also a local trail expert so he knows where the trails are that will suit your skill level and give you the best experience. The local bike hire providers offer a range of different bike brands too, so is a good way to try a few out.

If there's no damage done, there's no extra cost.

You will be dealing with the provider directly and pay them for the hire.

We'll reserve your bike for you and bring it to the session and have a copy of the hire agreement for you to sign.

The sooner you book this session, the more likely there'll be a bike available. What Else Is There To Know? An even spread of skill level in the group works best, however if some of your riding mates are at a different skill level, our qualified skill coaches can assist and up-skill a beginner/moderate level mountain biker, while still challenging an experienced mountain biker.

There are some questions in the booking process to help us understand where each rider is at in terms of skill level, which helps us plan the session.

If the skill set spread is too great in the wider booking group, we'll contact you to sort something out. Mountain biking is all about being out in nature, which also means conditions are impossible to predict and out of our control.

I have been riding mountain bikes since 2009, both Enduro and DH style disciplines……. although never at a competitive level. I was self taught and often on the ragged edge of disaster, battling poor form, technique and with little understanding of the physical, mental and scientific processes required to develop the skills to push my personal limits and send hard! All that changed in late 2022, when I started working with Steve and the team from “On Track Mountain Biking” both privately and in group coaching squads. The coaching is conducted in a safe, structured and professional manner. The crew are approachable, patient, empathic, encouraging and personally invested in each and every rider! I have been able to rebuild my riding foundations, actively progress with understanding and confidence, learn race craft fundamentals and have bags of fun along the way!! I cannot recommend Steve and the team enough!!!!

Steve’s knowledge, support and encouragement has been pivotal in our family’s mountain biking journey and has been foundational in our son achieving his dreams of competing and being successful at the highest level in WA. I would highly recommend On Track Mountain Biking for beginners to those wanting to take their riding to the elite level, and everyone in between. Thanks Steve for everything.

Our kids (7 and 9 yrs) have had an incredibly positive experience with On Track. As mindful parents, we are discerning when choosing teachers/role models for our kids and we are beyond satisfied with not only the level of instruction, but the respectful approach. Steve has a wonderful balance of safe, realistic, firm boundaries in his teaching. Our kids trust Steve as a confident leader. On Track has a level of professionalism that lends to sense of ease. Highly recommend OnTrack for all ages. The Murray family.

Steve and Brendan at On Track provide a stellar opportunity for really targeted coaching and skill development. Our son has shown huge improvement due to the incremental instruction given, isolating each skill and then putting them all together on the trails. We also believe this coaching and development is key to reducing his chances of injury. We can't recommend the On Track crew and philosophy highly enough.
