The Margaret River Surf Classic boasts a rich legacy as one of Western Australia’s enduring events, marked by its esteemed reputation and a distinguished roster of former champions, including some of the state’s best surfers. Across all divisions, substantial prizes await with the added incentive of securing a spot in the trials of the 2024 Margaret River Pro for the victors in the Open Men and Open Women categories. Make your way to Surfers Point to witness the surf action unfold!

Churchill Park will be transformed into a vibrant hub of activity over two exciting days of competition, vibrant stalls, agricultural showcases, thrilling sideshow rides, games, and entertainment during the Busselton Show. Friday night promises an electrifying climax with a spectacular fireworks extravaganza.

Gates open at 3pm, and the food trucks and sideshow alley come alive from 4pm. Saturday’s schedule extends from 9am to 4pm, featuring free children’s activities in the main ring starting at 10am, including offerings like face painting and pony rides.

On Saturday, November 11th, the Busselton Foreshore Amphitheatre becomes a hub of musical delight, featuring a diverse lineup of local bands starting at noon. This family-friendly and free event invites you to savour music against the backdrop of the Southern Hemisphere’s longest timber-piled jetty, a picturesque sight to behold. Mark your calendar for more jazz-infused excitement with the festival’s Opening Night Party at West Winds Distillery, Jazz In The Garden at Aravina Estate, and Groovin At The Tap House at Rocky Ridge.

Dive into the refreshing waters of Geographe Bay with the Geo Bay Cool Water Classic, a thrilling 20km point-to-point open water swim. This exciting addition to Western Australia’s open-water swim events is poised to become the ultimate way to embrace the arrival of summer. Beginning in Dunsborough and culminating at the iconic Busselton Jetty, the action won’t be limited to the water. With lively beach parties strategically placed along the course, solo swimmers, duos, and teams can refuel, switch swimmers, and bask in the enthusiastic cheers of spectators.

Heralded as a “brilliant new landmark in Australian musicals” (The Australian), The Sunshine Club is written and directed by proud Noonuccal Nuugi man Wesley Enoch AM, an acclaimed creative force in Australian Theatre. The award-winning show is a thought provoking, vibrant and above all joyful night of theatre and music, featuring a talented cast of 11, including emerging and established First Nations artists, and a 5-piece live band.

The Yallingup Malibu Classic is a historical longboarding competition, with a history harking back to 1985. It is now one of the premier longboarding contests on the calendar.

Busselton bills itself as the regional event capital of WA and it is arguably the hugely popular annual Ironman that kicked off that reputation. The world-class sporting competition has been a stalwart of the Asia Pacific triathlon scene since 2004. Encompassing the iconic Busselton Jetty & pristine Geographe Bay beachfront, the contest is renowned worldwide as the place to go for a personal best, with the bike & run legs of race being some of the flattest of the global Ironman circuit.
