Food was first class! We shared plates of the wedge island octopus, free range pork and confit duck. The octopus was cooked perfectly, so tender and delicious. Big call but probably the best octopus dish I’ve eaten. The duck was presented differently to what I expected but again was just so flavoursome and delicious. The Chardonnay went down well also. We will be back!

Food was ABSOLUTELY exceptional. One of the best restaurants I’ve had in the south west region. MUST experience when you go down south!! I’m already looking forward to going back. Everything was so fresh and beautiful and gave me pleasure to eat!! 🤤

I finally returned here after many years for an early Mother's Day date with my hubby. The food and service were just as outstanding as I remember. I would highly recommend for a special occasion or romantic lunch date. Everything was perfect. Thankyou for a great dining experience!

A wonderful eatery with attentive Staff and great food. In a difficult climate for restaurateurs, the Barnyard 1978 is committed to excellent presentation and quality of their food. The Staff was friendly and offered good advice on our lunch choices. A fabulous venue for a relaxed quality meal.
